Today we are gathering our forces for the Unknowns of the USS Arizona, and asking YOU for your help. With the July 4th holiday, our INDEPENDENCE DAY, we now more than ever need to remember those who fought and died so that we can live how we chose.
Imagine if you were, your grandfather, father, uncle, brother, cousin was in an unknown labeled grave. Thrown in, in the 1940’s because identification methods were not as advanced as they are today, burned and mangled bodies offering no form of identification. Imagine waiting, wondering what happened to your family member for 80 YEARS! This is where we find ourselves.
Up to 146 families have no idea what happened to their beloved sailor during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and yet they have been screaming for their identities back for SO long. The best part, is that the DPAA and US Navy do not even have to traverse the world looking for them, they are in their own backyard in the PunchBowl Cemetery.
Right now, the House Veterans Affairs Committee is deciding the fate of 146 USS Arizona Sailors. A single Yes/No vote would either bring this chapter in our American history to an incredible satisfying end reuniting over a hundred families, or it will be shoved under the table, because of petty politics on both sides.
Here is where YOU can help! Call or send a message to the below Committee members, demanding they identify AND return the USS Arizona Sailors to their families through advanced DNA identification. They lost their lives for our freedoms; they deserve to be given back their names. A YES vote will ensure this project receives the stamp of approval and necessary funding to BRING THEM HOME!
Thank you for your help
