Meet Darrel Miller Hess. He had a wife (Estella) in Salt Lake City, Utah and was an Eagle Scout. His family remembers the day they were notified that Darrel was missing in action after Pearl Harbor on December 22, 1941. A month later the family received a package of Christmas candy, one that was mailed to Darrel in Hawaii, but was returned as it had no one and no where to be delivered to. The box was melted and dripping, so Darrel's sister Claribel threw the box away so his mother never saw it. Darrel is likely one of the 85 unknown USS Arizona sailors buried in Punchbowl Cemetery in Honolulu Hawaii. Please help us remember and identify sailors like Darrel, and STOP the DPAA from their current plan of action.
