Unban Skating in Doylestown

The Issue

According to the Township rules, skating in Doylestown can result in a fine and the skateboard itself being taken away. We feel this is extremely unfair, considering skateboarding is both a hobby and an enjoyable method of transportation. It seems the only reason it has been banned in the first place is due to the stereotype of 'skateboarders cause trouble;' especially since biking and scootering are not banned. There doesn't seem to be any legitimate safety reason to ban skateboards over the other methods of transportation (that aren't banned), and it's a great hobby that a number of people in the community would like to pursue. For these reasons, we strongly urge the removal of this ban.
