It's obvious that the KMART will be going out of business in the near future and there is already an abundance of vacant & unused space.

We don't need any more empty buildings decreasing the value of our neighborhoods. We also don't need another Marketplace (think 7 & Middlebelt, in front of Walmart or Plymouth & Middlebelt), and we certainly don't need any large store such as Meijer or Target, which would make traffic considerably worse.

This is a prime location for residents to walk & bike to, only 2 or 3 miles from freeways, making it accessible from anywhere.

We are thinking it would be wonderful to have smaller & locally owned businesses. Cafe's & restaurants with little outdoor patio seating. Buildings set up closer toward the roads with bigger sidewalks, benches and bike racks, with parking in the rear.

Maybe a farmers market once a month or week, or Christmas lights lining the trees and buildings at night during the holidays...
