The citizens and business owners of Lee County, specifically those in the Downtown Ft. Myers River District, were recently informed of the cancellation of the popular and well attended Bike Night on First Street. 

I own a business on First Street, and keep my doors open for every night event. The nights are full of meeting future clients, high sales and an aura of excitement and life in our beloved Downtown. Bike Night in particular, brings bikers and families alike. Revenues soar. Connections are made. I signed my lease 2 years ago, chose my location wisely, with the assumption that these nighttime events were here to stay. 

I ask that you sign this petition if you support keeping Bike Night in the Historic River District of Downtown Fort Myers. Quality of life, exposure to arts and culture, appreciation of diversity as well as supporting the small businesses are just a few reasons to sign this petition.

For the record, I have kept my jewelry store open every single Bike Night since 2017,and have never seen a fight or an arrest of a biker. In my well deserved opinion, public safety has not been a problem.
