Science overwhelming supports the concept that the planet is being severely, and possibly irreversibly, affected by climate change, deforestation and fracking. We must act now to stop the damage being done if we have any hope of saving our planet. Our situation is extremely urgent and we have no contingency plan for the effects of climate change, deforestation and fracking. Trees are one of our main resources for providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil and supporting wildlife. Trees take in the carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we all breath. The hemp plant can produce all of the products that trees can and more.

Not only would hemp help us become a healthier and well fed nation, we would also be a more fuel efficient nation while creating jobs. I want to add my name to the many who are calling on big corporations and manufacturers to immediately halt the clear cutting of virgin forests. I implore them to replace that practice with the incorporation of growing hemp built into the phasing out of paper products. We have one planet. We need to unite our efforts before it is to late.
