No Buses Poem

Written by Dawn Leonard. Great job, Dawn!! Citizens of Douglas County: Just say NO to the buses, hear our protest now, Just say no to the buses, we want to show you how. Our pockets are all empty, we can’t afford the bus The numbers don’t support it, the bus costs way too much. The ARC is plotting, the BOC is too, But we are not that stupid, so hear our point of view. This all comes down to money, a feather in their cap, They want to ram it down our throats, but were not down with that. Citizens of Douglas County, open up your eyes, See just what their up to, don’t listen to their lies. We want our voices to be heard, not stifled by their plan, they can ignore us all they want, but united is where we stand. Call and write your officials, we must stand up and fight We must stick together, we need to do whats right. Just say NO to the buses, no to the taxes too, Just say NO to the buses, its all now up to you!
