There continues to be so much discussion about the lack of affordable housing in Canada.  CPBH agrees that this is a serious issue.

But what about all of those home purchasers in Ontario who could afford the initial price, but who continue to have to fight with Tarion to get their newly built home properly repaired? 

Here is one example: This is a photo of Ottawa homeowner Ved Proag, a first time home buyer, who is also a professional engineer. 

Ved has requested that CPBH post her photo, along with this message:

"Paid in full, yet stuck in endless mold remediations and leaking roofs. Tarion, instead of backing the builder's warranty, plays games—descoping warranted defects, ignoring written commitments, and sending quotes from unlicensed contractors who can’t even source the product. What’s the point of a warranty they won’t enforce?"
