Long time Tarion employee Peter Balasubramanian was promoted internally more than five years ago to assume the position of President of Tarion. He's had more than enough time to make the needed changes. But that hasn't happened. 

The Ontario NDP and the Ontario Greens continue to call for an end to Tarion's monopoly -- and we so appreciate their support! 

CPBH volunteers hear day in and day out about the ongoing problems with Tarion. Here's a recent example:

"...we've tried getting help from Tarion and they just "document" or file our concerns but don't take any action, even after requesting early intervention and investigative inspection.....In speaking with Tarion and raising concerns about our health and safety in the home, they are more concerned with the builder having "black marks" against them than helping us..." - homeowner to CPBH, Feb. 2025.
