Homeowners continue to report serious issues with Tarion: Denied claims, claims that are dragging on with no decision, bureaucratic run-around.....
Meanwhile, Tarion continues to operate with little to no oversight by the Ford Government - and little accountability or transparency. As one example, CPBH submitted several questions for Tarion at its July 12, 2022 Annual Public Meeting, and we have not yet received responses.
Here's another example - The Ford Government decided not to give Ontarians Monday off to recognize the passing of the Queen. But Tarion decided to disregard Ford's decision. Tarion's office will be closed on Monday for the National Day of Mourning. We understand why this infuriates many homeowners still trying to get Tarion employees to do their job.
CPBH volunteers continue our efforts to support homeowners as they try to get serious Code violations and other issues with their homes properly addressed.
We are also continuing to advocate for ending Tarion's monopoly - like Justice Cunningham (and so many others) recommended.
Please help. It's easy. Do you know someone who might be willing to sign this petition to end Tarion's monopoly? If you do, please ask them.
Here's another way you can help: Make a donation to CPBH today. Our fall fundraising campaign is now underway. Go to our web-site www.canadiansforproperlybuilthomes.com - click on "donate" at the top right corner of the home page.
No donation is too small.
Thank you for your support.
