Thanks primarily to Justice Cunningham's 2016 Tarion Review, Tarion is finally being stripped of its regulator function.  We are now starting to see how Tarion proposes to proceed once it only has the warranty function. 

One key piece of the puzzle is the proposed reduction in mandatory fees charged to new home purchasers by Tarion - a whopping $55 flat fee cut! 

There is no justification provided to the public for that token proposed fee cut - but Tarion is asking for input in advance.
