Currently there are two Bills re Tarion being considered by the Ontario Legislature. Here is CPBH's overall rating for the two Bills:

Minister Lisa Thompson's Bill 159 : 2 out of 10. (She is trying to "fix" Tarion. This Bill, if passed, will not end Tarion's monopoly. Minister Thompson has said that her government has conducted extensive consultations in order to develop this position about retaining Tarion's monopoly.  But Minister Thompson has not responded to CPBH's repeated requests over the past five months for basic information about these consultations.)

MPP Tom Rakocevic's Bill 169 : 9 out of 10. (This Bill, if passed, will end Tarion's monopoly - as Justice Cunningham, and so many others, have recommended.)
