

Obviously we are very disappointed with the Ford Government's plan to try to fix Tarion - Bill 159. Our position is that Tarion is beyond repair.
Bill 159 is a very small step in the right direction, but it is clearly not adequate to provide the consumer protection Ontarians need for newly built homes.

The government's process is underway related to Bill 159. The Standing Committee on Justice Policy will be holding hearings on Bill 159. They will be held between Monday January 20 to Wednesday January 22. The hearings will be held in Windsor, Brampton and Ottawa, between 9:00 and 5:00 pm.

If you or anyone you know are interested in providing a written submission, the deadline for written submissions is Wednesday Jan 22 at 5:00 p.m.
