While Minister Thompson claimed her new legislation related to Tarion is a "complete overhaul", this is clearly not the case.  The best slant that we can put on it is that it is a step in the right direction.  Clearly it comes up far short from what is needed to provide adequate consumer protection in Ontario for newly built homes.

Once again, the Ontario Government has failed Ontario's consumers. 

Like the Wynne Government, the Ford Government has refused to take Justice Cunningham's advice to end Tarion's monopoly.
