This information regarding Tarion's compensation for 2018 is hard to swallow for many, especially those who have had their claims denied by Tarion. For example, on social media, one homeowner referred to it as "legalized theft".  Another referred to it as a "gravy train".

Remember:  Tarion is a still a mandatory monopoly and Ontario's purchasers of newly built homes must pay the Tarion fee. There is no opting out of Tarion.

In addition to the fat compensation packages that are being doled out, there is also the matter of why so many executives are required for only about 200 employees.
