In its first year, the Ford Government has developed a strong reputation for being way too cozy with builders/developers.  Many speculate that this is why the Ford Government won't answer basic questions regarding actions on the Tarion Review recommendations -- because the builders/developers like things with Tarion just as they are. 

The Ford Government minister responsible for consumer protection and Tarion, Minister Bill Walker, remains silent on long standing questions related to Tarion and the Tarion Review.  Further, we see no evidence that Minister Walker has done anything to protect Ontarians related to the largest purchase most make - a home. 

So what can you do?  

1. Contact Premier Ford and let him know that you want action on the Cunningham Tarion Review Report - now. Go old school, and write to Premier Doug Ford, Premier's Office, Room 28, Legislative Building, Queen's Park, Toronto, ON M7A 1A1 and/or telephone him at 416-325-1941, and/or fax  416-325-3745.

2. Tell anyone considering purchasing a newly built home about the ongoing serious problems with the Tarion Warranty Corp.  #BuyerBeware
