The Tarion Reviewer, Justice Cunningham, has been saying that he is still open to receiving input related to the Tarion Review. But it sure did not feel like that to some consumers participating in his Oct. 12 focus group for the Tarion Review when he abruptly shut down a consumer who was voicing her views on the need to end Tarion's monopoly. Further, others, including CPBH, expressed concern that Justice Cunningham did not adequately discuss/address the option to end Tarion's monopoly in his interim report for the Tarion Review - even though his own "Jurisdictional Scan" for the Tarion Review found that 89% of the jurisdictions included in that scan avoided the monopoly model, and offer multiple warranty providers. So far, more than 700 people, including 23 sitting MPPs, have signed this petition to #EndTarionMonopolyNOW. We are still gathering signatures - Please help us to get more!
