Delivering for Door Dash can be dangerous at times. Many drivers live in cities where violent crimes are common. As drivers, we don’t want to have to worry about being robbed or murdered because we have cash on hand. Cash on delivery not only puts drivers at risk who have opted into the program but also those who have opted out of it. As word gets out to the general public, these types of crimes will increase and good drivers will cease to take the orders to keep themselves safe and will move to other platforms to earn their money. I do not believe that this is what Door Dash nor the drivers wish to happen in the long run. We value this platform which has, to many of us, provided much needed income for us and our families, especially during this pandemic. 

We are hereby petitioning Door Dash to remove this *Cash on Delivery* option once again. Our safety should be important to a company that claims to value us as independent contractors and we would like to continue to provide this service to our communities without added fear of harm. Please hear our request and remove Cash on Delivery from the platform.
