We wish to express concern over the scale of the proposed Townsville Youth Foyer in Elizabeth Street, Aitkenvale. The proposed 5 storey 40 unit complex will dominate the neighbourbood affecting the neighbour's privacy, property values, and if not managed correctly, risks creating more social problems than it solves.

We also would like to express our concern over the State Government's lack of consultation with the community for the proposed development.

As a community we want to let the State Government know that a more suitable location for this development needs to be found, and have appropriate consultation with the community and Council.
