Do you want campus to shut down? Do you miss Zoom classes? No? Pfizer has developed a highly effective and safe vaccine against COVID-19 and the rapidly-spreading Delta variant, which as now received full approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The University of Tennessee already requires proof of vaccination and immunization against numerous diseases. If UTK cares about the health and safety of their students and their surrounding communities, they should immediately implement a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the body of nearly 40,000 students and staff. This will significantly impact the transmission of COVID-19, reducing the number of covid-related hospitalizations and deaths. It will also allow students to continue learning in person and enjoy a relatively normal fall semester at our beautiful Knoxville campus!
