The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimates that 39,471 veterans are homeless on any given night. These men and women gave their everything to defend our freedoms and our rights. It is a travesty that any of our veterans would have to go without a home of their own in the wealthiest country in the world.

President Donald Trump is currently requesting $18,000,000,000 in order to fund a border wall between the United States and Mexico. Do not be mistaken, national security is of the utmost importance. However, any nation that turns it's back on the brave men and women that gave everything is shameful. No true patriot would ever allow such a thing to happen.

With the proposed $18,000,000,000 being requested, the United States could spend  $456,031 (materials & labor) on each veteran. Ensuring that not only do these veterans have a roof over their heads, but something deserving of the sacrifices that they made for all of us.
