The USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) was the first carrier I served aboard along with almost 50 years (48 years and 13 days) of other shipmates and Marines. The Kitty City Battle Cat bright many of our servicemen home from wars, exercises and defense initiatives during her lifespan protecting the United States of America, the Constitution and all the freedoms we do enjoy. The Kitty Hawk was also the last conventional aircraft carrier to watch over the Japanese. Currently she is being considered to be recycled in Brownsville, Texas.
