Donald Trump wants to allow more hunting and fishing on federal wildlife refuges and hatcheries in 2.3 million acres in a total of 45 states. Some of these places have never allowed hunting before. Not only is this bad news for animals and the environment, it will also hurt the economy. If hunters kill the very animals people come to refuges to see then the people won't come and the refuges will make less money. Additionally, over hunting and fishing could make species endangered. If that happens, there would likely be hunting restrictions. We need to leave the refuges and hatcheries as they are and preserve the natural beauty of America's wild spaces. Don't forget, more hunting means more guns and potentially more gun-related accidents. Also, these spaces are homes for millions of animals.
