There is a large group very dedicated to throwing our old car batteries into the ocean - because it's a huge adrenaline rush and it's perfectly legal.

Bill To Remove Garbage from the Ocean
This is in response to the new bill above to clean tons of garbage from the ocean. We want to ensure that our old car batteries in the ocean will be left to remain there. We would be absolutely devastated to see so much work lost because of a bill that was aimed at removing waste completely unrelated to our old car batteries.

We would like the bill amended to specify that our old car batteries will stay where they belong - at the bottom of the ocean because ultimately it's super thrilling and perfectly legal.
