As a community, we have brought  rescues for dogs placed on the "rescue only" list by Franklin County Dog Shelter, only to be turned away and the dog(s) euthanized(killed) anyway. 

We need stricter regulation for our tax funded shelters.

The goal should be to save the animals,  and help the animals. Not kill the animals. 

Not too long ago, I rescued a dog from Franklin County Dog Shelter, just a day away from being euthanized and the only thing she needed was time to exhale. Perfect dog. Loving. Sweet. Silly. She didn't deserve to die. The fact is NONE OF THEM DO. 

We give criminals time after being released to exhale, our societies animals should be given at minimum this much! Dogs have been through the unthinkable & the only mankind they know(the shelter)  just kills them.

Why should a dog be punished when they don't have a voice. Newstations have done segments and the new hope has failed. With now stricter rules on rescues and dogs who are labeled "rescue only" the fate has become even more grim for our fur babies.

Powerless, full of UNCONDITIONAL love, tail wags, family member, & voiceless. Sign this petition in hopes to save the dogs in our community.
