Each year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats).

I currently foster for a Indiana rescue. No matter how hard the shelters and rescues try we cannot save them all. For every dog I adopt to a good home another un-spayed pregnant mom comes in with 11 or more homeless puppies.

The ONLY way to prevent overpopulated shelters and the extreme numbers of animals senselessly killed we need to federalize a law that demands that all animals be spay/neutered unless you are a registered breeder. Large fines and animal surrender will be the consequences of breaking this law.
