Most bully breeds, like pit bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers, bulldogs, American bullies, and bull terriers have many health problems. These health problems include cleft palate, cleft lip, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, atrophy, eczema, heart problems, and breathing problems. Irresponsible breeders purposefully breed these traits into the dogs simply to give them a more “exotic” look. They then sell these unhealthy, deformed, dogs to people for thousands of dollars. One even went for a million. Breeders are treating these dogs like machinery to make money and they aren’t at all concerned for the dogs’ health and well-being. Dogs are living, breathing, creatures, just like us, and do not deserve to be treated like accessories. By definition, an ethical breeder is one who’s number one goal is to better the breed. Many breeders are not doing this by breeding for looks and not health, and that is unethical. Therefore, I think breeding any bully type dog should be outlawed.
