A threat actor named Pompompurin has posted 250 million personal records of U.S. residents on a popular hacking forum last week. The database contains 263 GB of personally identifiable information and household-related data. According to an analysis performed the records contain 1,255 comma-separated values sub-files, each with 200,000 listings that include full names, phone numbers, email addresses, date of birth, marital status, gender, house cost, home rent, home built year, ZIP codes, home addresses, geolocation, credit capacity, political affiliation, salary, income details, number of owned vehicles, number of children in the household and number of owned pets. Currently, the owner or origin of the database remains unclear. No passwords are contained in the leak, the threat actor noted in a post description.
