The Issue

Most of us as people have suffered from a loss in our lives. It could have been as simple as a pet growing old or as heartbreaking as a family member with health issues.Either way, you can't make new experiences, feel the warmth or enjoy time with that person. It hurts so much to know the time with that person is over, but we move on knowing they live in our hearts. Though there is one part that is quite odd; our dogs are treated better than people. Dogs get to be put down peacefully without pain or suffer, but humans are left in a bed with pain and agony. Luckily, there is a solution to this! We have Euthanasia, but it is illegal in 47 of North America's states. It was originally put as a thought by one man, Jack Kevorkian. He was a physician that would find patients that were seeking out assisted suicide and help them leave the world painlessly with a combination of potassium chloride to stop the heart and pancuronium bromide to stop any possible spasms. He was a savior to many as he was able to help 103 people with problems like Alzheimer's disease or Arthritis. One of his most notable helpings, the case of Janet Adkins, is when Kevorkian was reached out by this woman who got hit with Alzheimer's as her disease took full effect. She was actually in a pro-euthanasia group that didn't get much attention until her assisted suicide. Kevorkian was taken to court and let off as the controversy of this topic was off the charts. Though the fire known as euthanasia has died down, the embers are still glowing bright and warm. So, we need to take action on this subject as YOU, the viewer need to sign this petition. If we could get enough signs, maybe we could get known by our government. My goal is to further on get it as widespread as the world, but for now we need to make it as simple as possible. So, I hope you are able to see all of the pain we shouldn't have to go through say something about it.
