Dannette Sasser started this petition to Georgia State Senate and

In 2010 Officer Todd Simpson and my brother Lt. CORY sasser a 22 year law enforcement officer for Glynn Police Department had to take the life of a lady named Caroline Smalls in Brunswick, Ga. Both officers were cleared by a Grand Jury and a Federal Judge of any wrong doing. However both were bullied by the community of which they served and protected. Officer Simpson later died of cancer, but for eight years Lt. CORY SASSER AND FAMILY couldn't  move forward with their lives. Media replayed the Smalls case everytime Lt. SASSER had to do his job.  It continued until it caused PTSD, Major Depression, a divorce and ulimitley to the death of Lt. CORY Sasser and his wife Katie Kettles Sasser.   Since June 28, 2018. My family has had to go through exactly what my brother and his fellow officers had to endure. I'm asking for PROTECTION for our family. A law to be put in place so that if a officer has to take a life in the line of duty, AND CLEARED BY A GRAND JURY that it can NOT be mentioned on media outlets or held against them or their families as my family has been done and still are being slandered, Harrassment is a understatement to say the least. Please help me by passing CORY'S Law please help me in protecting the ones that protect us and our family.
