Although it might not seem like it, coral reefs give us over half of our oxygen. Unfortunately, due to coral bleaching, they are dying at an alarming rate. Scientists and biologists predict that by 2050, they will have all perished. It is scary to image a life without this life-giving organism, that provides food and shelter to over half of all underwater creatures. This would mess up the food chains, which will also effect humans. Imagine a life where, in order to just go outside, you had to wear a breathing mask. It would be terrifying, and without oxygen, the whole animal kingdom would collapse, resulting in grave consequences. Luckily, there is a way to save out precious world, but if we don't act now, it will be too late. It we all pitch in and help to recycle, use less nonrenewable resources, and stop littering, we can save the coral reefs, and the world. Coral bleaching happens because of water temperatures becoming warmer due to pollution. Please help and start recycling, use an electric car, or ride a bike instead of drive, pick up trash, don't burn trash, and whenever possible save water.
