My Fellow Chinese,

As you are all aware, today marks one of the most important Chinese Holidays known as Moon Festival. And on this very special day I am proposing a Petition that the Governor of California Gavin Newsom establish a task force to explore ways the state might provide money reparations in the amount of $350,000 to the Chinese People for the overt discrimination we suffered under the Chinese Exclusion Act signed by President Chester A. Arthur on May 6, 1882.

The Chinese Exclusion Act was and is the only law to have been implemented, to prevent all members of a specific ethnic or national group from immigrating to the United States. During the 19th Century, more than 2.5 million Chinese were used as manual laborers who were paid half the wages of white people who made up the workforce of approximately 700 miles of train tracks from Sacramento, California, and Promontory, Utah. The sweat and blood of my people have been used to make this country wealthy.

Chinese people have been stabbed, killed, and treated like dogs. 

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I HEREBY CALL ON THE GOVERNMENT OF CALIFORNIA TO PROVIDE MONEY REPARATIONS AMOUNTING TO $350,000 PER CHINESE PERSON!!!
