Under existing tariffs on toys imported from China, Mattel, the toy manufacturing giant and maker of Barbie, plans to raise prices on American toys due to tariffs.

That means higher prices for families, fewer toys in stores, and one of America’s most iconic childhood figures becoming harder to afford.

Barbie isn’t just plastic — she’s imagination, creativity, and a role model for generations of kids. From scientist to astronaut to president, Barbie shows children they can be anything. She should never be priced out of reach because of a political trade war.
