Hi there : ) You've been so gracious to sign this petition, trying to help save respite care for military special needs families. Here at Ft.Bragg in North Carolina, 62 families will soon be facing this cut June 30th. That does not account for all the other families at all the other bases, so many military families with special needs children will be affected. I started this petition to save us all from this cut. We should not be on the cutting block!
Right now we have 34,000 signatures, over 30 supporters and contributors, thank you to each one of YOU. We are fighting against time and need to be heard by more people, otherwise we will be swept under the rug.
Recently our local paper, The Pilot wrote an article and I am currently working with a journalist and producer who will be featuring this issue. Look below for the link for our featured story in The Pilot Newspaper.
Military families like mine still need your help. Can you please take a few minutes, post this petition to Facebook? Twitter? Email this petition to others you know? Promote it? Write your State Senator? Will you reach out to Senator Tillis of North Carolina who is in the Armed Services Committee and Veterans' Affairs Committee?
I have read your comments and so many times I have seen people write that "it's the right thing to do." I agree, however, this petition needs to reach numbers to be heard, to make a change. I need your help once more, to help save military families across the world that utilize EFMP for their special needs children.
Thank you!
