I am creating this petition to bring to your attention, something I believe is unfair and needs to be addressed. I would like to appeal my dismissal from Marie Sklodowska Curie Metropolitan High School's senior events, I believe that anyone who has met all graduation requirements should be allowed to attend prom and a senior class trip. Personally I have been told due to my attendance percentage ( 2 points lower than required) I am not eligible to experience any once in a lifetime senior events such as prom and a senior trip. I know that I am a hard working and always a respectful student with good grades, does not deserve to be dismissed. I feel that I am being deprived of my last senior experiences and memories, that is something that I will never get back. I am requesting that this rule has been enforced to be withdrawn because no one deserves to be left out of senior events if they have good grades and meet the graduation requirements. It is bad enough that my class and I had our other high experiences taken away by the pandemic.  I felt that I would have been a lucky and grateful student to be able to go to prom after those international events, but for it now to be officially taken away from me not by a serious pandemic, but a rule that the principle of my school has created that requires a specific attendance rate. Please sign this petition to help me and other graduating seniors that are not allowed to attend prom and a senior trip due to the not reaching the required attendance rate, to be able to go to these events and have these once in a lifetime experiences.
