Don't Remodel Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney

With the myriad recent announcements of the current renovations going on in Downtown Disney, an unfortunate development among the other announcements was that the Jazz Kitchen, a French Quarter style New Orleans restaurant was going to be rethemed into a generic, ugly mid-century building indistinguishable from one you'd find in any LA strip mall. The appeal of this restaurant is that I feel like I am eating in a restaurant on Bourbon Street. If I wanted to eat at a generic mid-century restaurant, I'd go to the Grove. I don't know why Disney is hellbent on turning Downtown Disney into another LA strip mall bereft of the magic that makes it so great, but as someone who loves this place, I am becoming increasingly concerned with the trajectory of Downtown Disney. It started with the removal of Rainforest Cafe, and I fear their appetite for destruction won't stop at stripping one of the coolest restaurants in Downtown Disney of everything that makes it unique and appealing. I am creating this petition imploring Disney to walk back on their ridiculous remodeling plans, and retain the old design that imbues it with the essence of New Orleans.
