Don't relegate India's national champion. Justice for Aizawl Football Club.

Dear Friend,

Aizawl FC, a small team from Mizoram (India) defied expectations to win the I-League 2017, the highest division football in India in just their second season. This small club does not have resources like the other big clubs; the salary of the entire squad is less than the salary of a Mohun Bagan player.

The AIFF wants to make the Indian Super League (ISL) the top league in India and it would only accept teams that can afford to pay the huge INR 15 Crore franchise fee which only the big clubs can afford. This means that despite being the champions of India Aizawl FC will be relegated to the 2nd division and they will not get a chance to defend their title.

This proposal of the AIFF is extremely unfair as it allows rich clubs to buy their place in India's top league while smaller clubs with better talents will be ignored. This is highly detrimental to the spirit of the beautiful game.

It will be unfortunate if the champions are relegated for the sake of money. Football fans in India and all over the world are protesting this unsporting proposal.

Please support us in our protest and let us join hands to demand justice for Aizawl FC.
