Don’t let the Seaspray Coast become an industrial zone. Seaspray say 10k No Way
The issue
The Seaspray Windfarm Strategy Group does not support the Blue Mackerel offshore wind project, which is proposed for waters just 10km offshore, directly in front of the Seaspray Surf Lifesaving Club. In contrast, the group does support projects which are located more than 25km from the coastline.
The SWSG believes that communities such as Seaspray and The Honeysuckles are being asked to shoulder all the risk of offshore wind development with none of the benefit. The group exists to protect the region’s visual amenity, natural environment and community social license.
