Action Needed: NC House Will Vote on Ag-Gag Override Tomorrow

The North Carolina House of Representatives will be voting TOMORROW (Wednesday) on whether or not to override the Governor’s veto and enact the terrible ag-gag bill. Legislators need to rethink this dangerous measure, which would cover up animal cruelty in factory farms as well as the potential abuse of veterans and elderly people in poorly-run hospitals. This issue doesn’t just affect North Carolina residents; it affects each one of us. All Americans want a safe food supply (when farm animals are abused, they are more likely to develop dangerous bacterial infections that result in contaminated meat). And we all want our war heroes to be safe. Please call Rep. Rick Glazier (919-733-5601) and Rep. John Szoka (919-733-9892) right away, and politely let them know that they should be embarrassed for pushing an ag-gag bill that threatens food safety, animal welfare and our veterans.
