Petition updateDon't let North Carolina hide animal cruelty violations from the public
Protect Your Victory in North Carolina!

Cynthia RosenfeldChapel Hill, NC, United States
Jun 1, 2015
Thank you again for helping earn a huge victory for animals last week, the veto of the terrible ag-gag bill in North Carolina! But now lobbyists for the factory farming industry are pushing lawmakers to reverse your victory and override the veto. If successful, cruel meat companies could sue whistleblowers who expose animal abuse!
Please take action now.
If you live in North Carolina, please call and email your state representative right away: http://www.ncleg.net/representation/WhoRepresentsMe.aspx. You can simply say “As your constituent, I urge you to respect the Governor’s veto of HB 405, the ag-gag bill, and not try to override it. This legislation would have harmed animals, children and elderly North Carolinians.”
If you live outside of North Carolina, please politely email and call the lobbyists who are pushing for the ag-gag bill at the North Carolina Chamber. Please be *very respectful* but ask them to stop trying to cover up animal abuse and other crimes:
