Don’t Let Morocco Stain the World Cup with the Blood of 3 Million Stray Dogs

The Issue

To the Government of Morocco,

Up to 3 million stray dogs are at risk of being killed ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2030, which Morocco is set to co-host. This mass extermination will affect not only millions of innocent animals, but also the global community of football fans and animal lovers, who stand united for justice, fairness, and compassion. These voiceless lives are not a nuisance—they’re living beings deserving of dignity.

If this cruelty goes unchecked, the very spirit of the World Cup will be tainted. Football is a game built on values of fair play, unity, and humanity—and it cannot coexist with bloodshed. The international stage should not be used to hide atrocities, but to showcase a nation's ethics and leadership. This mass killing would not just end lives—it would damage Morocco's reputation and cast a dark shadow over the tournament.

That’s why we must act now. Humane solutions already exist—sterilization, vaccination, adoption, and NGO collaboration—and they work. The world is watching. Morocco has the chance to lead by example, not by fear. Hosting the World Cup is an honor—don’t let it be remembered for cruelty instead of glory.

We call on the Moroccan Government to:

1. Immediately stop all killings of stray dogs.

2. Adopt humane animal population control methods.

3. Collaborate with NGOs and welfare groups for long-term solutions.

4. Honor the values of football—fairness, humanity, and dignity.

Sign this petition to save 3 million innocent lives—and to defend the very heart of what football stands for.
