Hunt called off.

This morning we learned that the hunt for the shark responsible for Greg O’Neill’s death was called off due to lack of shark activity in the area.

While we are glad to hear that resources won’t be wasted on a baseless mission, we implore WA Fisheries Minister Jackie Jarvis to consult experts in the field before jumping straight to decisions with damaging consequences. Thank you deeply to everyone who signed, shared and promoted the petition. 

Though this debate may be over, the family of the victim are still in mourning, and their lives will never be the same. We extend our condolences to Mr O’Neill’s family and friends.
