Don't join the cruelty; instead, speak up for the voiceless.

The Issue

Although many of us enjoy our pets and would never intentionally cause them pain, there are undoubtedly many companion animals that are suffering due to a large number of animals in shelters that need homes and the widespread reports of animal cruelty.

It is indisputable that people who can understand things and talk for themselves tend to act as if they don't.
Instead of speaking up for those who are unable to do so, they took advantage of the situation to harm them and disregard all of their rights.
Unfortunately, dogs, cats, horses, and livestock are the types of animals whose maltreatment is most frequently recorded. The staggering number of incidences of animal cruelty that are reported every day is only the tip of the iceberg; the majority of incidents leave unreported. Animal cruelty instances are not recorded by state or federal agencies, unlike violent crimes against people, making it challenging to determine how prevalent they are.

Every state has laws against animal mistreatment, and some of these abuses are also felony offenses. Whether it is child abuse, animal abuse, or any other criminal activity, it is crucial to report a suspected crime. The job of law enforcement is to investigate suspicious actions, therefore do not worry if you cannot "prove your case." Even if it is not "full," your report still serves as valuable information that will enable them to establish the truth and the necessity of taking additional action. We are their voice,  inform those around you about the problem. Help people realize that they have the power to step in when animals are being mistreated or even tortured. Animals have a right to a pain-free existence, and we must intervene if those rights aren't being upheld.

Help those who are struggling with their pets by being there for them. It's not always out of a lack of love that animals are neglected. An owner could lack the mental capabilities to give an animal the proper care. Whatever the cause, a neglected pet must be removed from the situation and given the care it requires to survive and develop. Anything you do to assist an animal may also assist a person.  Set a good example for other animals. Fostering an abandoned animal is a good idea. Unfortunately, a lot of dogs are given up to shelters for various reasons. Foster homes aid in the recovery of these animals and help them get ready to transition to a new, permanent, loving home.

Animal abuse is a problem that we will never completely eradicate. But sadly when they discover that the victim is an animal, some authorities fail to pay attention to these cases. Those in positions of authority should take care of all of our animals. Because, of course, people are important. However, animals have rights and sentiments that we should respect because they are unable to express these things for themselves or tell us what has occurred to them. Since we can speak for them, we must do so.

Again, we are their voice. Let's not fail them!
