Every day someone in your neighborhood is being recorded while on their own personal property.  This could be happening with or without their knowledge.   This includes the neighbors that have camera pointed towards your property, or a nosy neighbor that constantly takes pictures and videos anytime you venture out into the driveway, yard, or in public.

With the progression of AI and social media, these pictures and photos can be maliciously used against you in many different ways!  They can be sold on the black market for pornography purposes or posted to social media in an attempt to humiliate or defame you.  This causes a decline in mental health as the body naturally reacts in the form of anxiety to this type of offense that is demeaning and demoralizing.  Who knows what these people are doing with this footage on their phones?

As of right now it is 100% legal for someone to film you (and your property) while you are on your own personal property. They could be standing in the side walk, street, or property line with their phone pointed directly at you taking pictures and videos, and there nothing you can do to stop it.

This needs to change!  Help sign this petition that will open the eyes of our legislators of this issue.  We need them to consider making it illegal for anyone to knowingly film you while you are on your own personal property and while you are out in public.
