I am a dog mom to a wonderful 4 year old Great Dane and Pit Bull mix!  He is sweet, goofy, and cuddly!  He is fun loving and fun spirited!  He has been through multiple training classes and behavioral assessments and has passed with flying colors.  He currently attends a daycare and loves to play with other dogs and the trainers.  I received an email from PetSmart with their Mother's Day Daycamp special and 50% offer for first time campers.  I called to make a reservation for my boy to go spend the day with other dogs and to bring home a personalized photo and Mother's Day keepsake.  However, when I called I was informed that my boy was not allowed to attend Daycamp because he is a "Bully Breed" mix.  They do not base their policies on behavior, but base them on breed.  I called customer service and they told me it was the policy and there had been no updates to this policy since 2018 and no changes would be made any time soon.  It's time for PetSmart to update this outdated discrimination policy.  Policies should be based on behavior assessments, not on breed alone.  Let our "Bullys" play!  Reach out to PetSmart at 888-332-7387 to let them know we won't continue to support a business with discrimination policies!
