The feature has raised the profile of the growing movement against this authoritarian legislation, which includes Human Rights organisation Liberty and the Manifesto Club. You can watch the clip here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p048dtb4 Ever since the Antisocial Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 became law, the Keep Streets Live Campaign has been warning that the new powers have the potential to radically change the relationship between local authorities, the police and the people they are meant to serve by creating spurious and unnecessary new criminal offences that often unfairly target the most vulnerable in society. Your support in Birmingham was an essential part of persuading the council to abandon their proposal to criminalise busking in the city and to work with buskers, Equity and the Musician's Union to create an inclusive and vibrant busking scene in Birmingham.
