Like many dog owners out there I have been raised up with dogs all my life with all kinds of breeds, jack Russells, German shepherds, rottweilers etc and they have been the most loving dogs. Genuine dog lovers all over the UK have since felt alot of pain due to the XL bully put on the dangerous dogs act due to people who buy these breeds who only want the dog for what they see as status. These people don't care about the dog, they don't train the dog or show it love they see the dog as a way of intimidating others. It is not the breed of the dog at fault it is the human that has the dog.

The problem arisng in the UK now is these people that don't love their dog are happy to leave the poor animal outside or just loose them onto the streets because they don't want to pay for them to be put down or don't want the hassle of putting a muzzle on and getting an exemption certificate. Instead these selfish people are now buying other breeds of dogs, such as rottweilers and cane corsos. This is a problem for all the dog lovers such as myself as these people are giving our breeds a bad name. I myself have a year old cane corso that I keep well socialized with other dogs, attend regular dog training sessions with, enjoy taking on holiday and give so much love to and get so much love back from my dog. I know 100% my dog would never be a danger to anyone because I make sure to give him the best of care and the training to ensure he has a loving nature and so do many other people out there. The biggest problem that will be faced if this matter is not resolved is more innocent breeds of dogs will be wrongfully put on the dangerous dogs act which will result in innocent animals been thrown on the street or their lives taken.

So what do I think we should do? Instead of banning the breed or putting breeds on the dangerous dogs act list, any persons that fails to keep there dog under control, any person that fails to get there dog the sufficient training and any person that abused there dog should be banned from ever purchasing another breed of dog to prevent our loving breeds from been mistreated. The time to act is NOW so that we can save our dogs from been put down, abandoned or put on such watch lists due to poor people's decisions as it is not fair on the genuine dog lovers that have done no wrong.
