This property is also a known Gopher turtle habitat. The Gopher turtle is also a PROTECTED species. It is also an area known for producing local citrus. For these three reasons alone we the people feel this parcel has no business being zoned commercial.

Reverse your zoning position on 780 CR 17N Avon Park to Agricultural use only.

My name is Charles Howell, I am a resident adjacent to the property in question. I am an avid sports man and nature lover, I am also very heavily involved with community and county activities. I am a strong believer in building our community the right way. I feel that the gopher turtle has no voice therefore I will fight for it to habitat where it has for hundreds of years. With that being said there are many who are very opposed to the commercialization of this property. We hope that you will hear our voice and reverse your decision to make this a commercial property. This property should be set aside for one of Florida's weathering natural animal population, Or at the least be zoned agricultural only!
