The artist, Lil Uzi Vert, is being financially abused by the record label Generation Now. Lil Uzi Vert is only receiving 20% of the money his music makes. He is in a horrible position and isn’t able to evolve as an artist because of this ridiculous percentage. Also, since he isn’t able to release new music, some of it is starting to leak. It even got to the point where he temporarily retired and gave up because there was nothing he could do about the situation. While this is understandable as myself and many other fans are incredibly frustrated with the lack of music, it is only further hurting Lil Uzi Vert.

Generation Now needs to either renegotiate its contract with Lil Uzi Vert or needs to release him from the label.

I have been a fan for such a long time. I’ve followed Lil Uzi Vert from when he dropped Luv is Rage. Lil Uzi Vert is an incredibly talented artist who brings so much joy to my life and many other people’s lives as well. It hurts his fan base that he is in such a horrible position and is not able to release music. This deeply saddens all of us and we want change to save our favorite artist.
