I'm delighted to announce that our meeting with Women's Aid Federation Northern Ireland has now been officially confirmed for 25 August 2026.
This is another significant milestone for the Domestic Abuse-Related Suicide Recognition Law Campaign. Together, we'll be discussing how we can improve the recognition, recording, investigation and prevention of domestic abuse-related suicides, while ensuring victims and bereaved families are no longer invisible.

✔️ Commissioner Designate for Victims of Crime – Meeting completed (21 July)
Our first campaign meeting was constructive and encouraging. We discussed the need for greater recognition of domestic abuse-related suicides, improvements to recording and investigation, and how victims and bereaved families can be better supported. It was an important opportunity to ensure this issue continues to be heard within discussions on justice and future policy.

This campaign has never been about one person.
It's about making sure that when domestic abuse contributes to someone's death by suicide, those deaths are recognised, investigated and never overlooked regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, sexuality.
